Rooms Hotel is Tbilisi’s first design hotel. The hotel is housed in a former publishing house which is builted in Soviet rule. It’s entrance will take you to a library with sensational floor tiles. It is a part of Adjara Group Hospitality, it has a central location in the Vera district. It has an aura of mystery with a reclaimed wood slatted frontage trimmed in dark metal. Dark glass doors are opened as you approach by a uniformed bell hop who may well have walked off a The Grand Budapest Hotel film set.
The Reception is at left, looking dark with dim light and dark wood. There is plenty of wood, a grey marble staircase leads to the floors but of course there are two lifts. The walls of the bar and lounge area have eccentric and snazzy artwork by Georgian and Italian artists. There is also furnitures and comfortable melt-into sofas. Business travellers are well catered for with five conference rooms.
Totally there are 125 rooms with eight floors. There are 8 categories with atleast you have writing desk, TV, retro style bluetooth Marshall speakers which you can plug your device into for a great sound. No wardrobe but there is a place to hang your clothes, a mini bar, a leather upholstered bed, an armchair and heavy curtains. Bathrooms have some freestanding bath and rainfall shower. The showers have slatted wooden floors – even in the shower area – which feels good underfoot.
Breakfast is served until 11am offering a fantastic spread with plenty of Georgian specialities and even gluten free cakes and cooked breakfast. There is a bar with a seating with chill cocktail and also a music plays. Also has gym, garden and free internet access for all without passwords.
